Just as we did last season, we are going to let the fans pick the wrestler
of the week. Our weeks will start on Monday and end on Sunday. We then
will give you guys a few days or so to send in nominations then begin the
voting. When sending in nominations, please state why they deserve to be
the wrestler of the week, who they beat, and when/where at. The voting
will usually begin on Wednesday or Thursday and end on Sunday Night. If
you would like to make a nomination for the following week, please send an

Week 4 (12/26/05 – 1/1/06)
CO-WRESTLERS OF THE WEEK: Brad Blersch and Adam Theisen
Congratulations to Oconomowoc's Brad Blersch and Adams-Friendship’s Adam
Theisen on winning the wrestler of the week award for week 4. Both
wrestlers tied at 18 votes a piece when the voting ended.
Brad Blersch, Oconomowoc, 119, 12
Brad defeated two ranked wrestlers to win arguably the toughest bracket at
the Lourdes on the water classic. In the semifinals, Brad defeated
Winneconne’s Luke Harness 11-8 and then defeated Freedom’s Ryan Vosters
9-3 to win the 119-pound championship. Harness is ranked 5th at 119 and
Vosters is ranked 4th at 125. Brad extends his record to 21-0 and remains
the number one ranked 119-pounder in division one.
Adam Theisen, Adams Friendship, 103, 10
In a battle of number one ranked wrestlers, Adam came out victorious with
a 4-2 decision over Lancaster’s Jase Langkamp in the 103-pound
championship of the bi-state tournament. On his way to the championship,
Adam defeated two more ranked wrestlers in Baraboo’s Hayden Silvers and
Dodgeville’s Grant Sutter.
Other Nominees:
Aaron Kersten, Boyceville, 145, 12
Aaron defeated two ranked wrestlers on hi way to winning the 145-pound
Northern Badger Championship. In the semifinals, Aaron pinned
Neillsville's Luke Friemoth in 1:47. In the championship, Aaron defeated
St. Croix Falls Dustin Raygor 14-2. Friemoth is ranked honorable mention
in division two, where as Raygor is ranked third in division two.
William McCormick, Heritage Christian, 275, 12
William defeated Valders’ Tyler Figueroa 20-8 in the championship of the
Kettle Moraine Invite. Figueroa is currently ranked 4th in division two.
McCormick’s victory earned him the tournaments most outstanding wrestler
award.
Justin Hartwig, Manawa, 189, 12
Justin defeated Menasha’s Tyler Roebke, the number two ranked 189-pounder
in division one, in overtime to win the 189-pound championship at the
Lourdes on the water classic.
Joe Vogt, Cuba City, 275, 11
Joe defeated Cashton’s Derrick Laufenberg 7-2 in the 275-pound
championship of the bi-state tournament. Laufenberg is ranked 2nd in
division three.

night. Votes cast after the deadline are not considered.
