SUBJECT: The 3rd Annual UW-Parkside Wrestling
Team Golf Outing on August 16, 2008
On Saturday, August 16, 2008 the UW-Parkside
Wrestling Booster Club will be sponsoring its 3rd Annual
Golf Outing at Big Oaks Golf Club, 6117 123rd Place in
Pleasant Prairie, WI (near Green Bay Road and the Illinois State
line). The purpose is to promote the advancement of the Parkside
Wrestling program and to enjoy a day of fun with alumni, friends and
supporters of the program.
I am enclosing a copy of our registration
form with more information concerning the outing. We are also
hoping to solicit hole sponsors, auction and raffle prize
donations. The cost of a hole sponsorship is $250.00. The cost of
a hole sponsorship and a foursome in the outing is $550.00.
Suitable prize donation could be used toward the price of a hole
sponsorship.
The wrestling team has been one of the most
successful sports teams at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside.
In the schools 38 year sports history wrestlers have earned
Wrestling All-American honors 119 times, Academic All-American
honors 62 times and they have won thirteen individual National
Championships. Twenty times the team has finished in the top ten at
a National Tournament.
The cost of maintaining this degree of
excellence requires that the Wrestling Booster Club must raise a
considerable amount of funds to keep the team at a competitive
level. They feel that with your support this outing can be a very
fun and profitable way to help the team. If you know anyone else
who might be interested in participating in this outing or would be
willing to be a sponsor or have prizes to donate please pass this on
to them.
